Aashna Desai
Aashna brings a decade of private equity and strategic advisory experience across multiple sectors including technology and energy transition. She holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School and a B.A. in International Studies through the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude.
Prior to joining Novacap, Aashna was a Vice President at Nuveen on the Private Equity Impact team. She was responsible for sourcing, diligence, and value creation for a $1 billion strategy, with deal experience across tech-enabled infrastructure, IoT solutions, climate technology, and distributed energy. Previously, Aashna was an investor at Lexington Partners, executing over $500 million in private equity transactions across North America and Europe. She began her career at BlackRock in the Financial Markets Advisory group, advising global financial institutions and central banks on capital markets and balance sheet strategy. She is a CFA charterholder.
